English Translation
Abu Muawiyah narrated to us, al-Amash narrated to us, from Jami ibn Shaddad, from Safwan ibn Muhriz, from Imran ibn Husayn, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'Accept the glad tidings, O Banu Tamim.' They said: 'You have given us glad tidings, so give us something.' He said: 'Accept the glad tidings, O people of Yemen.' We said: 'We accept, so tell us about the beginning of this matter — how was it?' He said: 'Allah, Blessed and Exalted, existed before everything, and His Throne was upon the water. He wrote in the Tablet a record of everything.' He said: Then someone came to me and said: 'O Imran, your camel has broken loose from its tether.' I went out and the mirage was cutting between me and it. I went in pursuit of it, and I do not know what was said after that.
