English Translation
Yunus ibn Muhammad narrated to us: Hammad, meaning Ibn Zayd, narrated to us, from Ayyub, from Muhammad ibn Sirin, from Abu Ubaydah ibn Hudhayfah, from a man — Hammad and Hisham narrated it from Muhammad, from Abu Ubaydah, without mentioning "from a man" — Hammad said, meaning: I used to ask people about the hadith of Adi ibn Hatim, and he related the hadith, while Adi was right beside me and I had not asked him. So I went to him and asked him, and he said, "Yes, when the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was sent, at the time he was sent, I disliked it more than I have ever disliked anything." Yazid narrated to us: Hisham informed us, from Muhammad, from Abu Ubaydah, from a man, who said: I said to Adi ibn Hatim, "A hadith has reached me about you; I would like to hear it from you." So he related the hadith.
