English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us: Shu'bah told us, from Sulayman, from Ibrahim, from Hammam ibn al-Harith, from Jarir: that he urinated, then performed ablution and wiped over his leather socks, then prayed, and was asked about that, and he said, "I saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, do the same." He said: This hadith used to please them because Jarir was among the last to become Muslim.
