English Translation
Abd al-Razzaq told us: Isra'il informed us, from Simak ibn Harb, from Alqamah ibn Wa'il al-Hadrami, from his father, that a man called Suwayd ibn Tariq asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about wine, and he forbade it to him. The man said: "I make it for medicine." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is a disease, not a medicine."
