English Translation

Abd al-Razzaq told us: Sufyan informed us, from Asim ibn Kulayb, from his father, from Wa'il ibn Hujr, who said: I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say the takbir and raise his hands when he said the takbir - meaning when he opened the prayer - and he raised his hands when he said the takbir, and raised his hands when he bowed, and raised his hands when he said "Allah hears whoever praises Him," and when he prostrated he placed his hands level with his ears. Then he sat, spreading his left foot, then placed his left hand on his left knee, and placed his right forearm on his right thigh, then pointed with his index finger, placing his thumb on his middle finger and closing the rest of his fingers; then he prostrated, and his hands were level with his ears.
