حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ رُفَيْعٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ تَمِيمَ بْنَ طَرَفَةَ الطَّائِيَّ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى يَمِينٍ فَرَأَى غَيْرَهَا خَيْرًا مِنْهَا فَلْيَأْتِ الَّذِي هُوَ خَيْرٌ وَلْيَتْرُكْ يَمِينَهُ.
English Translation
Bahz narrated to us: Shu'bah narrated to us: Abdul-Aziz ibn Rufay' informed me: I heard Tamim ibn Tarafah al-Ta'i narrating from Adi ibn Hatim, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever swears an oath and then sees something better than it, let him do that which is better and let him break his oath.
