English Translation
Hayw ibn Shurayh narrated to us, he said: Baqiyya narrated to us, he said: Bahir ibn Sa'd narrated to me, from Khalid ibn Ma'dan, from Jubayr ibn Nufayr, from al-Nawwas ibn Sam'an, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: 'Allah, Mighty and Sublime, has struck a parable: a straight path; on both sides of the path are two walls with open doors, and over the doors are curtains; a caller calls at the head of the path, and a caller calls from above it: And Allah invites to the Abode of Peace and guides whom He wills to a straight path. The doors that are on both sides of the path are the limits of Allah; no one falls into the limits of Allah until Allah's veil is uncovered. And the one who calls from above it is Allah's admonisher, Mighty and Sublime.'
