حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْمُقْرِئُ حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ عِمْرَانَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عُشَّانَةَ الْمَعَافِرِيُّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيَّ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَنْ كَانَتْ وَقَالَ مَرَّةً مَنْ كَانَ لَهُ ثَلَاثُ بَنَاتٍ فَصَبَرَ عَلَيْهِنَّ فَأَطْعَمَهُنَّ وَسَقَاهُنَّ وَكَسَاهُنَّ مِنْ جِدَّتِهِ كُنَّ لَهُ حِجَابًا مِنْ النَّارِ.
English Translation
Abu Abd al-Rahman Abd Allah ibn Yazid al-Muqri told us, Harmalah ibn Imran told us, Abu Ushanah al-Ma'afiri told me, who said: I heard Uqbah ibn Amir al-Juhani say: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say — and another time he said: whoever has three daughters and is patient with them, and feeds them, gives them drink, and clothes them from his means, they will be a veil for him from the Fire.
