English Translation
Hajjaj and Hashim narrated to us, both said: Layth narrated to us, Yazid ibn Abi Habib told me, from Abu al-Khayr, from 'Uqbah ibn 'Amir, that he said: A silk farruj was presented as a gift to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. He wore it, then prayed in it, then when he finished he tore it off violently and forcefully, as one who disliked it, and said, "This is not fitting for the God-fearing."
