English Translation
Abu al-Mughirah told us, saying: Hariz told us, saying: I heard Abdullah ibn Amir al-Alhani say: Habis ibn Sa'd al-Ta'i entered the mosque before dawn — he had lived to see the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him — and he saw people praying at the front of the mosque, and he said: "Show-offs, by the Lord of the Ka'bah! Frighten them off — whoever frightens them off has obeyed Allah and His Messenger." He said: So the people came to them and drove them out. He said: He said: "Indeed, the angels pray before dawn at the front of the mosque."
