English Translation
He said: Sufyan ibn 'Uyaynah told us, from Jami' ibn Abi Rashid and 'Asim, from Abu Wa'il, from Qays ibn Abi Gharazah, who said: We used to be called the samasirah (brokers) in the time of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. He came to us at al-Baqi' and said: "O company of merchants," and named us with a name better than our own name: "Indeed trading is attended by swearing and lying, so mix it with charity."
