English Translation
Abd al-Razzaq told us, saying: Ma'mar informed us, from Yahya ibn Abdullah ibn Bahir, who said: One who heard Farwah ibn Musayk al-Muradi informed me: he said, I said: "O Messenger of Allah, we have a land called the land of Abyan; it is the land of our companions and our provisions, but it is plague-ridden," or he said, "it has severe pestilence." The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Leave it be, for nearness [to a plague-stricken place] leads to ruin."
