English Translation
Qutaybah ibn Sa'id told us, saying: Bakr ibn Mudar informed us, from Ibn al-Had, from Muhammad ibn Ibrahim, from Sa'id ibn al-Salt, from Suhayl ibn al-Bayda', who said: While we were on a journey with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and I was riding behind him, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "O Suhayl ibn al-Bayda'," raising his voice twice or three times, each time Suhayl answering him. The people heard the voice of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and thought he meant them, so those ahead were held back and those behind caught up, until when they had all gathered, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever testifies that there is no god but Allah, Allah has made the Fire forbidden to him and has made Paradise obligatory for him." Harun told us: Ibn Wahb told us: Haywah said: Ibn al-Had told me, from Muhammad - meaning Ibn Ibrahim - from Sa'id ibn al-Salt, from Suhayl ibn al-Bayda' of Banu Abd al-Dar, who said: While we were with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, on a journey - and he related the same in meaning.
