حَدَّثَنَا أَزْهَرُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ الرَّاسِبِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شُمَيْلَةَ عَنْ أَبِي طَرِيفٍ قَالَ كُنْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ حَاصَرَ الطَّائِفَ وَكَانَ يُصَلِّي بِنَا صَلَاةَ الْعَصْرِ حَتَّى لَوْ أَنَّ رَجُلًا رَمَى لَرَأَى مَوْقِعَ نَبْلِهِ.
English Translation
Azhar ibn al-Qasim al-Rasibi told us: Zakariyya ibn Ishaq told us, from al-Walid ibn Abdullah ibn Shumaylah, from Abu Tarif, who said: I was with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, when he besieged al-Ta'if, and he used to lead us in the afternoon prayer so early that if a man shot an arrow, he could see where it landed.
