English Translation
Abd al-A'la told us, from Ma'mar, from al-Zuhri and Hisham ibn Urwah, that they both narrated to him, from Urwah ibn al-Zubayr, that Hisham ibn Hakim saw some people of the protected community standing in the sun, and said, "Who are these?" They said, "Some of the jizyah payers." So he went in to Umayr ibn Sa'd, who was governor of part of Syria, and Hisham said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: Whoever torments people in this world, Allah, Blessed and Exalted, will torment him." So Umayr said, "Let them go."
