English Translation
Muhammad ibn Bakr told us, 'Abd al-Malik told us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir, who said: When 'Abdullah ibn Ubayy died, his son came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and said, "O Messenger of Allah, if you do not come to him, we will continually be reproached for this." So the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, came to him and found that he had already been placed in his grave. He said, "Could you not have waited before placing him in it?" So he was taken out of his grave, and the Prophet spat on him from his head to his feet and dressed him in his own shirt.
