English Translation
Abu al-Mughirah and Muhammad ibn Mus'ab told us, they said: al-Awza'i told us, Ata' told me - and Ibn Mus'ab said: from Ata' ibn Abi Rabah - from Jabir, who said: Some men had surplus land, and they used to rent it out for a third, a quarter, or a half of the produce. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever has land, let him cultivate it or let him give it to his brother; and if he refuses, let him keep his land uncultivated."
