English Translation
Muhammad ibn Bakr told us, Ibn Jurayj informed us, Abu al-Zubayr informed me that he heard Jabir ibn Abdullah say: The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, led us in prayer on the Day of Sacrifice in Medina. Two men came forward and slaughtered their sacrifices, thinking that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, had already slaughtered his. So the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, commanded whoever had slaughtered before him to slaughter another sacrifice in its place, and said: "Do not slaughter until the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, has slaughtered."
