English Translation
Abu Salama al-Khuza'i told us: Sulayman ibn Bilal informed us, he said: Rabi'a ibn Abi Abd al-Rahman told me, that he heard Anas ibn Malik describe the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, however he wished to describe him. He said: Then I heard Anas say: 'The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was of medium build among the people, neither short nor conspicuously tall; radiant, neither dark nor pallid white; his hair was straight, neither lank nor tightly curled. He was sent as a prophet at the head of forty years, stayed in Mecca ten years and in Medina ten years, and died at the head of sixty years, with not twenty white hairs on his head and beard.'
