English Translation
Yazid ibn Harun told us: Hammam informed us, from Anas ibn Sirin, who said, "We went out to meet Anas ibn Malik when he arrived from Syria, and we met him at 'Ayn al-Tamr, and he was praying on his mount facing a direction other than the qiblah. We said to him, 'You are praying facing a direction other than the qiblah!' He said, 'Were it not that I saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, do that, I would not have done it.'"
