حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ وَحَدَّثَنِي بَهْزٌ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ وَقَالَ عَفَّانُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ يَهْرَمُ ابْنُ آدَمَ وَيَشِبُّ مِنْهُ اثْنَتَانِ الْحِرْصُ عَلَى الْمَالِ وَالْحِرْصُ عَلَى الْعُمُرِ.
English Translation
Affan narrated to us, and Bahz narrated to me, both said: Abu Awanah narrated to us: Qatadah narrated to us — Affan said: from Qatadah — from Anas, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: "The son of Adam grows old, while two things within him remain young: greed for wealth and greed for long life."
