English Translation

Safwan ibn Isa told us, Unays ibn Abi Yahya told us, from his father, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who said: "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, came out to us in his illness from which he died, his head wrapped." He said: "So I followed him until he climbed up onto the pulpit." He said: "Then he said: 'I am right now standing at the Pool.'" Then he said: "'A servant was offered this world and its adornment, and he chose the Hereafter.'" He said: "None of the people grasped it except Abu Bakr, who said: 'May my father and mother be your ransom - rather, we ransom you with our wealth, our lives, and our children.'" He said: "Then the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, descended from the pulpit, and he was not seen after that until this very hour."
