English Translation
Yazid ibn Harun told us, Dawud ibn Abi Hind told us, from Abu Nadrah, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who said: A man came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and said: "O Messenger of Allah, we are in a land infested with dabb-lizards; what do you command us?" He said: "It has reached me that a nation of the Children of Israel was transformed into animals, but I do not know which animals these are." So he neither commanded nor forbade it.
