English Translation
Hushaym told us, from Dawud ibn Abi Hind, from Abu Nadrah, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who said: Ma'iz ibn Malik came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and informed him that he had committed an immoral act. He turned him away several times. He said: Then he ordered that he be stoned. He said: So we went and stoned him. He said: We went to the stony ground and stoned him. Then we turned back to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and informed him. When it was evening, he praised Allah and extolled Him, then said: "What is the matter with some people - a word has been attributed to me?"
