حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ زُرَارَةَ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم صَلَّى بِهِمُ الظُّهْرَ فَلَمَّا انْفَتَلَ قَالَ " أَيُّكُمْ قَرَأَ بِـ { سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الأَعْلَى } " . فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ أَنَا . فَقَالَ " عَلِمْتُ أَنَّ بَعْضَكُمْ خَالَجَنِيهَا " .
English Translation
Hadrat 'Imran ibn Husayn (may Allah be well pleased with them both) narrates that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) led them in the Zuhr prayer. When he finished, he said: 'Which of you recited "Sabbihisma Rabbikal-A'la" (Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High)?' A man said: 'I did.' He said: 'I knew that one of you was contending with me in it.'
Urdu Translation
حضرت عمران بن حصین رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے انہیں ظہر کی نماز پڑھائی۔ جب فارغ ہوئے تو ارشاد فرمایا: تم میں سے کس نے «سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الأَعْلَى» پڑھی؟ ایک شخص نے عرض کیا: میں نے۔ ارشاد فرمایا: مجھے معلوم ہو گیا تھا کہ تم میں سے کسی نے مجھ سے اس میں جھگڑا کیا۔
