حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالَ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بُرَيْدَةَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي بُرَيْدَةَ، يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ " فِي الإِنْسَانِ ثَلاَثُمِائَةٍ وَسِتُّونَ مَفْصِلاً فَعَلَيْهِ أَنْ يَتَصَدَّقَ عَنْ كُلِّ مَفْصِلٍ مِنْهُ بِصَدَقَةٍ " . قَالُوا وَمَنْ يُطِيقُ ذَلِكَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ قَالَ " النُّخَاعَةُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ تَدْفِنُهَا وَالشَّىْءُ تُنَحِّيهِ عَنِ الطَّرِيقِ فَإِنْ لَمْ تَجِدْ فَرَكْعَتَا الضُّحَى تُجْزِئُكَ " .
English Translation
Hadrat Buraydah (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) say: There are three hundred and sixty joints in a human being, and he must give charity for each joint. The Companions submitted: Who has the ability for that, O the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) of Allah? He stated: Burying phlegm in the mosque (is a charity), and removing something harmful from the road (is a charity). If you cannot find (anything else to do), then two rak'ahs of the Duha prayer will suffice you.
Urdu Translation
حضرت بریدہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا: انسان میں تین سو ساٹھ جوڑ ہیں، اسے ہر جوڑ کی طرف سے ایک صدقہ دینا چاہیے۔ صحابہ نے عرض کیا: اس کی طاقت کس میں ہے، یا نبی اللہ؟ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: مسجد میں بلغم کو مٹی میں دبا دینا (صدقہ ہے) اور راستے سے تکلیف دہ چیز ہٹا دینا (صدقہ ہے)، اگر یہ نہ ملے تو چاشت کی دو رکعتیں تمہارے لیے کافی ہیں۔
