Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا ثَابِتٌ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ يَزِيدَ، أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتِ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقْرَأُ { إِنَّهُ عَمِلَ غَيْرَ صَالِحٍ } .
English Translation
It is narrated by Hadrat Asma bint Yazid (may Allah be well pleased with her) that she heard the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) recite the verse 'innahu 'amila ghayra salih' — meaning 'indeed he acted unrighteously' (Surah Hud: 46) — in the past tense verbal form.
Urdu Translation
حضرت اسماء بنت یزید رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ انہوں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو «إِنَّهُ عَمِلَ غَيْرَ صَالِحٍ» یعنی بے شک اس نے ناشائستہ عمل کیا (سورۃ ہود: ۴۶) (بصیغہ فعل ماضی) پڑھتے ہوئے سنا۔
