Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُسَافِرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا الأَوْزَاعِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءُ بْنُ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ، حَدَّثَنِي جَابِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، بِهَذَا زَادَ وَقَالَ - يَعْنِي النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم - " أَنْتَ أَحَقُّ بِثَمَنِهِ وَاللَّهُ أَغْنَى عَنْهُ " .
English Translation
Ata ibn Abi Rabah (upon him be mercy) says that Hadrat Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be well pleased with them both) narrated this same hadith to me, with the addition that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: You are more entitled to his price, and Allah has no need of it.
Urdu Translation
عطاء بن ابی رباح رحمۃ اللہ علیہ کہتے ہیں کہ مجھ سے حضرت جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما نے یہی حدیث بیان کی اور اس میں یہ اضافہ ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: اس (غلام) کی قیمت کے زیادہ مستحق تم ہو اور اللہ (کسی سے) بے نیاز ہے۔
