Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " مَنْ أَعْتَقَ شِرْكًا لَهُ فِي عَبْدٍ عَتَقَ مِنْهُ مَا بَقِيَ فِي مَالِهِ إِذَا كَانَ لَهُ مَا يَبْلُغُ ثَمَنَ الْعَبْدِ " .
English Translation
It is narrated from Hadrat Abdullah ibn Umar (may Allah be well pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: Whoever emancipates his share in a slave, the remainder shall also be emancipated from his wealth, provided he has enough wealth to cover the full price of the slave.
Urdu Translation
حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: جس نے مشترک غلام میں سے اپنا حصہ آزاد کر دیا تو جتنا حصہ باقی بچا ہے وہ بھی اسی کے مال سے آزاد ہو جائے گا بشرطیکہ اس کے پاس اتنا مال ہو کہ غلام کی قیمت تک پہنچ سکے۔
