حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يُعَلِّمُهُمْ مِنَ الْفَزَعِ كَلِمَاتٍ " أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ غَضَبِهِ وَشَرِّ عِبَادِهِ وَمِنْ هَمَزَاتِ الشَّيَاطِينِ وَأَنْ يَحْضُرُونِ " . وَكَانَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو يُعَلِّمُهُنَّ مَنْ عَقَلَ مِنْ بَنِيهِ وَمَنْ لَمْ يَعْقِلْ كَتَبَهُ فَأَعْلَقَهُ عَلَيْهِ .
English Translation
Hadrat Abdullah ibn Amr (may Allah be well pleased with them both) states that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) used to teach them these words for protection from fright: 'I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from His anger, the evil of His servants, the whisperings of the devils, and from their coming near me.' And Hadrat Abdullah ibn Amr (may Allah be well pleased with them both) would teach this supplication to those of his children who had reached the age of understanding, and for those who had not, he would write it down and hang it around their necks.
Urdu Translation
حضرت عبداللہ بن عمرو رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم انہیں خوف (خواب میں ڈر) کے موقع پر یہ کلمات سکھلایا کرتے تھے: «أعوذ بكلمات الله التامة من غضبه وشر عباده ومن همزات الشياطين وأن يحضرون» میں اللہ کے کامل کلمات کی پناہ مانگتا ہوں اس کے غضب سے، اس کے بندوں کے شر سے، شیاطین کے وسوسوں سے اور ان کے میرے پاس آنے سے۔ اور حضرت عبداللہ بن عمرو رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما اپنے جو بیٹے سمجھدار ہو چکے ہوتے انہیں یہ دعا سکھاتے اور جو ابھی سمجھدار نہیں ہوئے ہوتے ان کے لیے لکھ کر ان کے گلے میں لٹکا دیتے۔
