حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ، قَالَ سُئِلَ قَتَادَةُ عَنِ التَّيَمُّمِ، فِي السَّفَرِ فَقَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَدِّثٌ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى، عَنْ عَمَّارِ بْنِ يَاسِرٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " إِلَى الْمِرْفَقَيْنِ " .
English Translation
Hadrat Qatadah was asked about tayammum during travel. He (may Allah be well pleased with him) said: 'Someone narrated to me from al-Sha'bi, from Hadrat Abd al-Rahman ibn Abza, from Hadrat Ammar ibn Yasir (may Allah be well pleased with them both), that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: "Up to the elbows."'
Urdu Translation
قتادہ سے سفر میں تیمم کے بارے میں پوچھا گیا۔ انہوں نے کہا: مجھ سے کسی نے شعبی سے عبدالرحمٰن بن ابزیٰ سے حضرت عمار بن یاسر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے بیان کیا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا: کہنیوں تک (مسح کرو)۔
