حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعُ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " الْوَلاَءُ لِمَنْ أَعْطَى الثَّمَنَ وَوَلِيَ النِّعْمَةَ " .
English Translation
It is narrated by Umm al-Mu'minin Hadrat Aishah (may Allah be well pleased with her) that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: The right of patronage belongs only to the one who pays the price and bestows the favour (i.e., purchases and emancipates the slave).
Urdu Translation
حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: ولاء اسی شخص کا حق ہے جو قیمت دے کر خریدے اور احسان کرے (یعنی خرید کر آزاد کر دے)۔
