حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ طَاوُسٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ أَبَا الصَّهْبَاءِ، قَالَ لاِبْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَتَعْلَمُ إِنَّمَا كَانَتِ الثَّلاَثُ تُجْعَلُ وَاحِدَةً عَلَى عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَأَبِي بَكْرٍ وَثَلاَثًا مِنْ إِمَارَةِ عُمَرَ قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ نَعَمْ .
English Translation
Hadrat Ibn Tawus narrates from his father that Abu al-Sahba' said to Hadrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both): Did you know that three divorces used to be counted as one during the time of the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), during the era of Hadrat Abu Bakr (may Allah be well pleased with him), and for three years of the caliphate of Hadrat Umar (may Allah be well pleased with him)? Hadrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both) said: Yes.
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابن طاؤس اپنے والد سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ ابوالصہباء نے حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے کہا: کیا آپ جانتے ہیں کہ تین طلاقیں نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم اور حضرت ابوبکر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کے دور میں اور حضرت عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کی خلافت کے تین سال تک ایک شمار ہوتی تھیں؟ حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما نے فرمایا: ہاں۔
