حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَامِرٌ، أَخْبَرَنِي عُرْوَةُ بْنُ مُضَرِّسٍ الطَّائِيُّ، قَالَ أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِالْمَوْقِفِ - يَعْنِي بِجَمْعٍ قُلْتُ جِئْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مِنْ جَبَلِ طَيِّئٍ أَكْلَلْتُ مَطِيَّتِي وَأَتْعَبْتُ نَفْسِي وَاللَّهِ مَا تَرَكْتُ مِنْ جَبَلٍ إِلاَّ وَقَفْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَهَلْ لِي مِنْ حَجٍّ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " مَنْ أَدْرَكَ مَعَنَا هَذِهِ الصَّلاَةَ وَأَتَى عَرَفَاتٍ قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ لَيْلاً أَوْ نَهَارًا فَقَدْ تَمَّ حَجُّهُ وَقَضَى تَفَثَهُ " .
English Translation
Hadrat Urwah ibn Mudarris al-Ta'i (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates: I came to the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) at the place of halting, that is, al-Muzdalifah. I said: O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), I have come from the mountains of Tayy. I have exhausted my mount and exhausted myself. By Allah, there was no hill on my way but I stopped upon it. So has my Hajj been completed? The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) graciously stated: Whoever attends this prayer with us and has previously stood at Arafat, by night or by day, his Hajj is complete and he may remove his dirt (i.e. he has fulfilled his rites).
Urdu Translation
حضرت عروہ بن مضرّس طائی رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ میں سرکارِ دو عالم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی خدمتِ اقدس میں حاضر ہوا، آپ موقف یعنی مزدلفہ میں تشریف فرما تھے۔ میں نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! میں طی کے پہاڑوں سے آ رہا ہوں، اپنی سواری کو تھکا دیا اور خود بھی تھک گیا، اللہ کی قسم! راستے میں کوئی ٹیلا ایسا نہ رہا جس پر میں نہ ٹھہرا ہوں، تو کیا میرا حج ہو گیا؟ سرکارِ دو عالم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: جو شخص ہمارے ساتھ یہ نماز پا لے اور اس سے پہلے رات کو یا دن کو عرفات میں ٹھہر چکا ہو، تو اس کا حج پورا ہو گیا اور اس نے اپنا میل کچیل دور کر لیا۔
