Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:9804 حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ثنا الْمَسْعُوديُّ حَدَّثَنِي الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ الْعَيْزَارِ عَنْ أَبِي عَمْرٍو الشَّيْبَانِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَيُّ الْأَعْمَالِ أَفْضَلُ؟ قَالَ «الصَّلَاةُ لِوَقْتِهَا» قُلْتُ ثُمَّ مَاذَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ «ثُمَّ بِرُّ الْوَالِدَيْنِ» قُلْتُ ثُمَّ مَاذَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ «الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ» ثُمَّ سَكَتَ وَلَوِ اسْتَزَدْتُهُ لَزَادَنِي
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Ali ibn Abd al-Aziz narrated to us, from Abu Nu'aym, from al-Mas'udi, from al-Walid ibn al-'Ayzar, from Abu Amr al-Shaybani, from Abdullah who said: I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him): 'Which deeds are best?' He said: 'Prayer at its time.' I said: 'Then what, O Messenger of Allah?' He said: 'Then dutifulness to parents.' I said: 'Then what, O Messenger of Allah?' He said: 'Jihad in the cause of Allah.' Then he fell silent, and had I asked him for more, he would have given me more.
