الترجمة الإنجليزية
Ibn Abbas said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was on one of his military expeditions when a man asked: 'O Messenger of Allah, what do you say about the heedless ones (children of the polytheists)?' The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) remained silent and did not answer him a word until he finished his expedition and was traveling. Then he saw a child who had fallen from a litter. He called out to his caller: 'Where is the one who asked about the heedless ones?' The man came to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), and he forbade the killing of their children and said: 'Allah knows best what they would have done.'
