الترجمة الإنجليزية
Ibn Abbas narrated that Nawfal ibn al-Harith sent his two sons to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and said to them: 'Go to your uncle; perhaps he will employ you in collecting charity so that you may earn something and get married.' They met Ali, who asked: 'Where are you going?' They told him their need, and he said: 'Go back.' So they returned. When evening came, he told them to go to the Prophet of Allah (peace be upon him). When they reached the door and asked permission, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said to Aisha: 'Lower your curtain so I may let in the two sons of my uncle.' They told the Prophet (peace be upon him) of their need, and the Prophet (peace be upon him) said to them: 'It is not lawful for you, the People of the House, to take anything from the charities, not even the washings of hands. Indeed, you have enough in the fifth of the fifth, or what suffices you.'
