وعن أنس رضي الله عنه قال: خط النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم خطوطا فقال: "هذا الإنسان، وهذا أجله، فبينما هو كذلك إذ جاء الخط الأقرب” ((رواه البخاري)).
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Hadrat Anas (may Allah be well pleased with him) reported that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) drew a few lines and said, "One of them represents man and another indicates death; and a man continues like this until the nearest line (i.e., death) overtakes him.".
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے کچھ لکیریں کھینچیں اور فرمایا: یہ انسان ہے اور یہ اس کی اجل (موت) ہے، وہ اسی حال میں رہتا ہے کہ اچانک قریب والی لکیر (یعنی موت) آ پہنچتی ہے۔ (بخاری)
