أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حَازِمٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سَهْلَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ السَّاعِدِيَّ، يَقُولُ وَقَعَ بَيْنَ حَيَّيْنِ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ كَلاَمٌ حَتَّى تَرَامَوْا بِالْحِجَارَةِ فَذَهَبَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم لِيُصْلِحَ بَيْنَهُمْ فَحَضَرَتِ الصَّلاَةُ فَأَذَّنَ بِلاَلٌ وَانْتُظِرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَاحْتُبِسَ فَأَقَامَ الصَّلاَةَ وَتَقَدَّمَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ رضى الله عنه فَجَاءَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ يُصَلِّي بِالنَّاسِ فَلَمَّا رَآهُ النَّاسُ صَفَّحُوا - وَكَانَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ لاَ يَلْتَفِتُ فِي الصَّلاَةِ - فَلَمَّا سَمِعَ تَصْفِيحَهُمُ الْتَفَتَ فَإِذَا هُوَ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَرَادَ أَنْ يَتَأَخَّرَ فَأَشَارَ إِلَيْهِ أَنِ اثْبُتْ فَرَفَعَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ رضى الله عنه يَعْنِي يَدَيْهِ ثُمَّ نَكَصَ الْقَهْقَرَى وَتَقَدَّمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَصَلَّى فَلَمَّا قَضَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم الصَّلاَةَ قَالَ " مَا مَنَعَكَ أَنْ تَثْبُتَ " . قَالَ مَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيَرَى ابْنَ أَبِي قُحَافَةَ بَيْنَ يَدَىْ نَبِيِّهِ . ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ عَلَى النَّاسِ فَقَالَ " مَا لَكُمْ إِذَا نَابَكُمْ شَىْءٌ فِي صَلاَتِكُمْ صَفَّحْتُمْ إِنَّ ذَلِكَ لِلنِّسَاءِ مَنْ نَابَهُ شَىْءٌ فِي صَلاَتِهِ فَلْيَقُلْ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ " .
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Hadrat Sahl bin Sa'd Al-Sa'idi said: "Words were exchanged between two clans of the Ansar, to the point that they began to throw rocks at one another. The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) [SAW] went to reconcile between them. The time for prayer came, so Hadrat Bilal called Adhan and waited for the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) [SAW], but he was delayed. He said the Iqamah and Hadrat Abu Bakr, may Allah be well pleased with him, went forward (to lead the prayer). Then the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) [SAW] came while Hadrat Abu Bakr was leading the people in prayer, and when the people saw him they clapped. Hadrat Abu Bakr would not turn around when he was praying, but when he heard them clapping, he turned around and saw the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) [SAW]. He wanted to step back but (the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) [SAW]) gestured to him to stay where he was. Hadrat Abu Bakr, may Allah be well pleased with him, raised his hands, then he moved backward and the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) [SAW] came forward and led (the rest of) the prayer. When the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) [SAW] finished praying, he said: 'What prevented you from staying where you were?' He said: 'I would not like Allah to see the son of Abu Quhafah standing in front of His the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him).' Then he (the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) [SAW]) turned to the people and said: 'If you noticed something while you were praying, why did you clap? That is for women. Whoever notices something while he is praying, let him say: "Subhan Allah
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت سہل بن سعد ساعدی رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں: انصار کے دو قبیلوں میں الفاظ کی تکرار ہوئی یہاں تک کہ ایک دوسرے پر پتھر پھینکنے لگے۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم ان کے درمیان صلح کرانے تشریف لے گئے۔ نماز کا وقت ہوا تو حضرت بلال رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے اذان دی اور رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کا انتظار کیا لیکن آپ تشریف نہ لائے، تو تکبیر کہی اور حضرت ابوبکر صدیق رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ آگے بڑھے (نماز پڑھانے)۔ پھر نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم تشریف لائے جبکہ حضرت ابوبکر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ لوگوں کو نماز پڑھا رہے تھے۔ جب لوگوں نے آپ کو دیکھا تو تالیاں بجائیں، اور حضرت ابوبکر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نماز میں ادھر اُدھر نہیں دیکھتے تھے، لیکن جب انہوں نے تالیوں کی آواز سنی تو مڑ کر دیکھا تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم تھے۔ انہوں نے پیچھے ہٹنا چاہا لیکن آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے اشارہ فرمایا کہ اپنی جگہ رہو۔ حضرت ابوبکر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے اپنے ہاتھ اٹھائے پھر الٹے پاؤں پیچھے ہٹ گئے اور رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم آگے بڑھے اور نماز پڑھائی۔ جب نماز ہوئی تو آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا: تمہیں کیا مانع ہوا کہ اپنی جگہ نہ رہے؟ انہوں نے عرض کیا: ابوقحافہ کے بیٹے کا یہ کام نہیں کہ اللہ کے نبی کے آگے کھڑا ہو۔ پھر آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم لوگوں کی طرف متوجہ ہوئے اور ارشاد فرمایا: تمہیں کیا ہوا کہ جب نماز میں کوئی بات پیش آئی تو تم نے تالیاں بجائیں؟ یہ عورتوں کا کام ہے، جس کے ساتھ نماز میں کوئی بات پیش آئے وہ سبحان اللہ کہے۔
