Narrated Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him): A funeral passed by, and the people spoke well of it, so the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: It has become due. He said this three times. Then another funeral passed by, and the people spoke ill of it. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: It has become due. He said this three times. Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: May my father and mother be ransomed for you; a funeral passed by and the people spoke well of it, and you said three times, "It has become due." Then another passed by and the people spoke ill of it, and you said three times, "It has become due." What does this mean (what thing has become due)? He said: The one of whom you spoke well, Paradise has become due for him, and the one of whom you spoke ill, Hell has become due for him. You are the witnesses of Allah on earth; you are the witnesses of Allah on earth; you are the witnesses of Allah on earth. [Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim/Hadith: 484]
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہایک جنازہ گزرا اور لوگوں نے اسے اچھا کہا تو نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ واجب ہو گئی تین بار (یہی) فرمایا۔ پھر دوسرا جنازہ گزرا تو لوگوں نے اسے برا کہا۔ نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ واجب ہو گئی تین بار (یہی) فرمایا۔ سیدنا عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے عرض کیا کہ میرے ماں باپ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمپر فدا ہوں، ایک جنازہ گزرا اور لوگوں نے اسے اچھا کہا آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے تین بار فرمایا کہ واجب ہو گئی۔ پھر دوسرا گزرا تو لوگوں نے اسے برا کہا، آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے تین بار فرمایا کہ واجب ہو گئی۔ اس کا کیا مطلب ہے (، کیا چیز واجب ہو گئی)؟ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ جس کو تم نے اچھا کہا اس کے لئے جنت واجب ہو گئی اور جس کو برا کہا اس پر دوزخ واجب ہو گئی۔ تم زمین میں اللہ کے گواہ ہو، تم زمین میں اللہ کے گواہ ہو، تم زمین میں اللہ کے گواہ ہو۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 484]
