Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "By the One in whose Hand is my soul! If you did not sin, Allah would surely do away with you and bring people who would sin and then seek His forgiveness, and Allah would forgive them." (Glory be to Allah! How excellent a thing it is to acknowledge one's fault before the Master, to apologize, to repent, and to seek forgiveness, and how beloved it is to the Master. Some righteous person said: Blessed is the sin that is followed by forgiveness, and wretched is the worship that produces pride.)
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: قسم اس ذات کی جس کے ہاتھ میں میری جان ہے، اگر تم گناہ نہ کرو تو البتہ اللہ تعالیٰ تمہیں فنا کر دے گا اور ایسے لوگوں کو پیدا کرے گا جو گناہ کریں گے اور پھر اس سے بخشش مانگیں گے۔ پس اللہ تعالیٰ ان کو بخش دے گا (سبحان اللہ مالک کے سامنے قصور کا اقرار کرنا اور معذرت کرنا اور توبہ کرنا اور معافی چاہنا کیسی عمدہ بات ہے اور مالک کو کتنا پسند ہے۔ کسی بزرگ نے کہا کہ وہ گناہ مبارک ہے جس کے بعد معافی اور وہ عبادت منحوس ہے جس سے غرور پیدا ہو)۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1922]
