Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) says: When this verse was revealed—"Indeed, We have granted you a clear conquest..." (Al-Fath: 1-5) to the end—he (peace be upon him) was returning from Hudaybiyyah, and the Companions were in great grief and sorrow, and he (peace be upon him) had slaughtered and sacrificed the sacrificial animals at Hudaybiyyah (because the disbelievers had not let them enter Mecca). Then he (peace be upon him) said, "A verse has been revealed to me which is dearer to me than the whole world."
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہجب یہ آیت نازل ہوئی کہ ((انّا فتحنا لک فتحاً ....)) (الفتح: 5-1) آخر تک تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمحدیبیہ سے لوٹ کر آ رہے تھے اور صحابہ کو بہت غم اور رنج تھا اور آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے حدیبیہ میں قربانی کے جانوروں کو ذبح و نحر کر دیا تھا (کیونکہ کافروں نے مکہ میں آنے نہ دیا)، تب آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ میرے اوپر ایک آیت اتری ہے جو مجھے ساری دنیا سے زیادہ پسند ہے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1179]
