It is narrated from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) gave judgment on the basis of one oath and one witness. (This is in the case where there are not two witnesses. If there is one witness, the claimant swears along with it.) [Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 1054]
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے ایک قسم اور ایک گواہ پر فیصلہ کیا۔ (یہ اس صورت میں ہے جب دو گواہ نہ ہوں۔ ایک گواہ ہو تو مدعی ساتھ قسم کھائے)۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1054]
