It is narrated from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "If people were given whatever they claimed, some would claim the lives and property of others. But the defendant must swear the oath." [Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 1053]
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہنبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: اگر لوگوں کو وہ کچھ دلا دیا جائے جس کا وہ دعویٰ کریں، تو بعض دوسروں کی جان اور مال لے لیں گے۔ لیکن مدعی علیہ کو قسم کھانا چاہئے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1053]
