وَعَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ: إِنَّ طَبِيبًا سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ ضِفْدَعٍ يَجْعَلُهَا فِي دَوَاءٍ فَنَهَاهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ قَتْلِهَا. رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد
الترجمة الإنجليزية
‘Abd ar-Rahman b. Hadrat 'Uthman told that when a physician consulted the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) about putting frogs in medicine he forbade him to kill them.* Abu Dawud transmitted it. * The flesh of frogs mixed with olive oil was used as an antidote for snake bite, and the fat was considered helpful for extracting teeth. The prohibition of killing frogs most probably applies only to killing them for medicinal purposes.
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت عبدالرحمٰن بن حضرت عثمان رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ ایک طبیب نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے مینڈک کے بارے میں پوچھا جو دوا میں ڈالا جاتا ہے تو نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے اسے مارنے سے منع فرمایا۔ حضرت ابوداؤد نے روایت کیا۔
