أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلْمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنَ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي سَالِمٍ الْجَيْشَانِيِّ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ مُعَتِّبٍ الْهُذَلِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَهُ يَقُولُ سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَاذَا رَدَّ إِلَيْكَ رَبُّكَ فِي الشَّفَاعَةِ؟ قَالَ «وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَقَدْ ظَنَنْتُ أَنَّكَ أَوَّلُ مَنْ يَسْأَلُنِي عَنْ ذَلِكَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي لِمَا رَأَيْتُ مِنَ حِرْصِكَ عَلَى الْعِلْمِ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَمَا يُهِمُّنِي مِنَ انْقِصَافِهِمْ عَلَى أَبْوَابِ الْجَنَّةِ أَهَمُّ عِنْدِي مِنْ تَمَامِ شَفَاعَتِي لَهُمْ وَشَفَاعَتِي لِمَنْ شَهِدَ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ مُخْلِصًا وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ يُصَدِّقُ لِسَانُهُ قَلْبَهُ وَقَلْبُهُ لِسَانَهُ»
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Salm narrated to us, he said: Harmalah ibn Yahya narrated to us, he said: Ibn Wahb narrated to us, he said: Amr ibn al-Harith informed me, from Yazid ibn Abi Habib, from Abu al-Khayr, from Salim ibn Abi Salim al-Jayshani, from Mu'awiyah ibn Mu'attib al-Hudhali, from Abu Hurayrah, that he heard him saying: I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, what did your Lord respond to you regarding intercession?' He said: 'By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, I thought you would be the first of my nation to ask me about that, because of what I have seen of your eagerness for knowledge. By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, their pressing at the gates of Paradise concerns me more than the completion of my intercession for them. And my intercession is for whoever testifies that there is no deity but Allah sincerely, and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, his tongue confirming his heart and his heart confirming his tongue.'
