Abu al-Abbas Muhammad ibn Ya'qub narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Abd al-Hakam narrated to us, Ibn Wahb informed us, Yunus informed me from al-Zuhri, Kathir ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib narrated to me who said: Hadrat al-Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with him) said: "I witnessed the day of Hunayn with the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). I and Abu Sufyan ibn al-Harith ibn Abd al-Muttalib stayed close to the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and did not leave him. The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was on a white mule that Farwa ibn Na'ama al-Judhami had gifted to him. When the Muslims and the disbelievers clashed, the Muslims turned in retreat. The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) began spurring his mule toward the disbelievers." Al-Abbas said: "I was holding the bridle of the mule of the Beloved Messenger of Allah, restraining it so it would not rush forward, and Abu Sufyan was holding the stirrup. The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: 'O Abbas, call out: O Companions of the Samura (tree)!' So I called out to them, and by Allah, when they heard my voice they turned back like cows turning toward their calves, saying: 'At your service! At your service!' They fought the disbelievers, and the call was among the Ansar, saying: 'O assembly of the Ansar!' Then the call was narrowed to Banu al-Harith ibn al-Khazraj. The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) looked from his mule, craning his neck to watch their fighting, and stated: 'This is when the battle has intensified.' Then he took some pebbles and threw them in the faces of the disbelievers and said: 'They are defeated, by the Lord of Muhammad!' I went to look and the fighting was as it had been, as I could see. But by Allah, as soon as he threw those pebbles, I kept seeing their strength waning and their cause retreating."
الترجمة الأردية
ابو العباس محمد بن یعقوب نے ہمیں بیان کیا، محمد بن عبد اللہ بن عبد الحکم نے ہمیں بیان کیا، ابن وہب نے ہمیں خبر دی، یونس نے مجھے زہری سے بیان کیا، کثیر بن عباس بن عبد المطلب نے مجھے بیان کیا، حضرت عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے فرمایا: «میں حنین کے دن رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے ساتھ تھا۔ میں اور ابو سفیان بن الحارث بن عبد المطلب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے ساتھ لگے رہے اور آپ سے جدا نہیں ہوئے۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم ایک سفید خچر پر سوار تھے جو فروہ بن نعامہ جذامی نے تحفے میں دیا تھا۔ جب مسلمانوں اور کفار کا مقابلہ ہوا تو مسلمان پیٹھ پھیر کر بھاگے۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم اپنے خچر کو کفار کی طرف دوڑانے لگے۔ عباس نے فرمایا: میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے خچر کی لگام تھامے ہوئے تھا تاکہ تیز نہ جائے اور ابو سفیان آپ کی رکاب پکڑے ہوئے تھے۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: اے عباس! پکارو: اے اصحاب سمرہ (درخت والو)! تو میں نے انہیں پکارا۔ بخدا جب انہوں نے میری آواز سنی تو ایسے پلٹے جیسے گائیں اپنے بچھڑوں کی طرف پلٹتی ہیں اور کہنے لگے: حاضر ہیں! حاضر ہیں! پھر وہ کفار سے لڑے اور انصار میں آواز لگائی جانے لگی: اے انصار کی جماعت! پھر آواز بنو الحارث بن خزرج تک محدود ہوگئی۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے اپنے خچر پر سے گردن اٹھا کر ان کی لڑائی دیکھی اور ارشاد فرمایا: یہ وہ وقت ہے جب تنور گرم ہوا (جنگ شدت اختیار کر گئی)۔ پھر آپ نے کنکریاں اٹھائیں اور کفار کے چہروں پر ماریں اور ارشاد فرمایا: محمد کے رب کی قسم! شکست ہوگئی! میں دیکھنے گیا تو لڑائی ویسی ہی نظر آتی تھی لیکن بخدا جب سے آپ نے کنکریاں ماریں تب سے میں دیکھتا رہا کہ ان کا زور ٹوٹتا گیا اور ان کا معاملہ الٹ گیا۔»
