حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَنَسٌ، قَالَ بَيْنَمَا الْمُسْلِمُونَ فِي صَلاَةِ الْفَجْرِ لَمْ يَفْجَأْهُمْ إِلاَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَشَفَ سِتْرَ حُجْرَةِ عَائِشَةَ فَنَظَرَ إِلَيْهِمْ وَهُمْ صُفُوفٌ، فَتَبَسَّمَ يَضْحَكُ، وَنَكَصَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ رضى الله عنه عَلَى عَقِبَيْهِ لِيَصِلَ لَهُ الصَّفَّ فَظَنَّ أَنَّهُ يُرِيدُ الْخُرُوجَ، وَهَمَّ الْمُسْلِمُونَ أَنْ يَفْتَتِنُوا فِي صَلاَتِهِمْ، فَأَشَارَ إِلَيْهِمْ أَتِمُّوا صَلاَتَكُمْ، فَأَرْخَى السِّتْرَ، وَتُوُفِّيَ مِنْ آخِرِ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Hadrat Anas (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates that the Muslims were in the Fajr prayer when the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) lifted the curtain of Hadrat Aisha's (may Allah be well pleased with her) chamber and looked at them as they stood in rows. He smiled joyfully. Hadrat Abu Bakr (may Allah be well pleased with him) stepped back on his heels to join the row, thinking the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) wished to come out for the prayer. The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) gestured to them to complete their prayer and let the curtain fall. He passed away that very day.
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ مسلمان فجر کی نماز میں تھے کہ اچانک رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا کے حجرے کا پردہ اٹھایا اور ان کی طرف دیکھا جبکہ وہ صفوں میں کھڑے تھے۔ آپ مسکرائے، ہنسے۔ حضرت ابوبکر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ اپنی ایڑیوں پر پیچھے ہٹے تاکہ صف میں آ جائیں، انہوں نے سمجھا کہ آپ (نماز کے لیے) تشریف لانا چاہتے ہیں۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ان کو اشارہ فرمایا کہ اپنی نماز مکمل کرو اور پھر پردہ ڈال دیا۔ اسی دن آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کا وصال ہو گیا۔
