Hadrat Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates that while the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was distributing something, Abdullah bin Dhil-Khuwaisira at-Tamimi came and submitted: 'O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)! Be just!' He declared: 'Woe to you! Who would be just if I were not?' Hadrat Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be well pleased with him) submitted: 'Allow me to strike his neck!' He declared: 'Leave him, for he will have companions whose prayer and fasting you will consider inferior to yours. They will leave the religion as an arrow passes through its prey. One looks at its feathers and finds nothing, looks at its head and finds nothing, looks at its binding and finds nothing, looks at its shaft and finds nothing — it has passed through the dung and blood. Their sign will be a man whose one hand or breast will be like a woman's breast or like a piece of moving flesh. They will emerge at a time of division among the people.' Hadrat Abu Sa'id (may Allah be well pleased with him) said: 'I testify that I heard this from the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), and I testify that Hadrat Ali al-Murtada (may Allah ennoble his countenance) fought them and I was with him. That man was brought, matching the description the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) had given.' Regarding him, this verse was revealed: 'And among them are those who criticize you concerning the distribution of charities' (9:58).'
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت ابوسعید خدری رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم تقسیم فرما رہے تھے کہ عبداللہ بن ذی الخویصرۃ التمیمی آیا اور کہا: یا رسول اللہ! انصاف فرمائیے۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: تیرا ناس ہو! اگر میں انصاف نہ کروں تو اور کون کرے گا؟ حضرت عمر بن خطاب رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے عرض کیا: مجھے اجازت دیجیے کہ اس کی گردن مار دوں۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: رہنے دو، اس کے کچھ ساتھی ہوں گے جن کی نماز اور روزے کے سامنے تم اپنی نماز اور روزے حقیر سمجھو گے۔ وہ دین سے اس طرح نکل جائیں گے جیسے تیر شکار سے پار نکل جاتا ہے۔ تیر کے پروں کو دیکھا جائے تو کچھ نہیں، نوک کو دیکھا جائے تو کچھ نہیں، بند کو دیکھا جائے تو کچھ نہیں، لکڑی کو دیکھا جائے تو کچھ نہیں، وہ لید اور خون سے آگے نکل گیا۔ ان کی نشانی ایک ایسا شخص ہوگا جس کا ایک ہاتھ یا ایک پستان عورت کے پستان کی طرح یا گوشت کے لوتھڑے کی طرح جھول رہا ہوگا۔ وہ لوگوں میں اختلاف کے وقت نکلیں گے۔ حضرت ابوسعید رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے فرمایا: میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ یہ بات میں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے سنی ہے اور گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ حضرت علی المرتضیٰ کرّم اللہ تعالیٰ وجہہ الکریم نے انہیں قتل کیا اور میں ان کے ساتھ تھا۔ وہ شخص لایا گیا جس کی نشانیاں نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے بیان فرمائی تھیں۔ اس کے بارے میں یہ آیت نازل ہوئی: «وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَلْمِزُكَ فِي الصَّدَقَاتِ» (ان میں سے بعض لوگ صدقات کی تقسیم میں آپ پر عیب لگاتے ہیں)۔
