Hadrat Safwan bin Ya'la bin Umayya narrates that Ya'la used to say, 'I wish I could see the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) at the time when revelation descends upon him.' When the Beloved Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was at Ji'rana, shaded by a cloth, with some of his companions with him, suddenly a bedouin came wearing a cloak drenched in perfume. He submitted, 'O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)! What is your opinion regarding a man who assumed the state of Ihram for Umrah while wearing a cloak after having applied perfume?' Hadrat Umar (may Allah be well pleased with him) gestured to Ya'la to come. Ya'la came and put his head inside, and he saw the Beloved Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) with his blessed face reddened, breathing heavily. After a while that state passed, and the Beloved Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) declared, 'Where is the one who was just asking me about Umrah?' The man was searched for and brought. The Beloved Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) declared, 'Wash the perfume on your body three times, remove your cloak, and then perform in your Umrah what you perform in your Hajj.'
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت صفوان بن یعلیٰ بن امیہ سے روایت ہے کہ یعلیٰ فرماتے تھے: کاش میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو اس وقت دیکھوں جب آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم پر وحی نازل ہو رہی ہو۔ جب نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم جعرانہ میں تھے اور ایک کپڑے سے آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم پر سایہ کیا گیا تھا اور آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے ساتھ چند صحابہ تھے، اچانک ایک اعرابی آیا جس نے جبہ پہنا ہوا تھا اور خوشبو لگائی ہوئی تھی۔ اس نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! اس شخص کے بارے میں کیا ارشاد ہے جس نے خوشبو لگا کر جبہ پہنے ہوئے عمرے کا احرام باندھا ہو؟ حضرت عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے یعلیٰ کو ہاتھ سے اشارہ کیا کہ آؤ۔ یعلیٰ آئے اور سر اندر کیا تو دیکھا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کا چہرہ انور سرخ ہے اور خراٹے کی سی آواز آ رہی ہے۔ تھوڑی دیر بعد وہ کیفیت ختم ہوئی تو ارشاد فرمایا: وہ شخص کہاں ہے جو ابھی مجھ سے عمرے کے بارے میں پوچھ رہا تھا؟ اسے ڈھونڈا گیا اور لایا گیا۔ حضور صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: جو خوشبو تمہارے بدن پر ہے وہ تین بار دھو ڈالو، جبہ اتار دو اور پھر اپنے عمرے میں وہی کرو جو حج میں کرتے ہو۔
